A secret
above the sea.
A very
well-kept secret.
Jassi had been planning this for a long time. He and his partner had come from Britain and were staying at a beautiful villa belonging to good friends of mine in Conca. The view alone was enough to make you stop talking.
We arranged everything in advance. The owner called to explain when and how I could slip inside without being seen. We chose a moment before the couple left for their planned excursion, and I waited behind the farthest corner of the villa.
A very well-kept secret.
Everything happens
at once.
She came outside without suspecting a thing. First there was the table, the wine, the view. Then Jassi began his proposal, and I was already in position with my camera, photographing every second.
The frames follow one another so closely that, together, they almost move. But it is the expressions I keep coming back to: surprise, excitement, and the way they looked at each other.
Everything happens at once.
Time to
take it in.
Afterwards they had a little wine and began to relax. We photographed the ring, the flowers around the villa, and the two of them enjoying a moment that no longer needed to be kept secret.
Some sessions stay with me for a long time. The careful preparation, that extraordinary terrace, and the emotion of the proposal made this one impossible to forget.
Time to take it in.
A place. A feeling.
A story that’s yours.
Tell me a little about yourself.
I’ll take care of the light, the places, and the quiet moments in between.
