Square in Atrani

In various places around Atrani you will see signs with a big Green arrow on them. They are directions for anescape road, in case of a flood. If you follow this road you will find a beautiful square in front of a church. It is signature view of Atrani.

Castiglione Beach

Beautiful place between two cliffs, which you can find just after Square in Atrani. To get there you need to go little bit on a road forward, then you’ll see entrance with steps. This steps to the beach. Be careful it’s about 200 of them

Elevator of Amalfi

This location offers the best view ofAmalfi from above. From Atrani go to Amalfi by the road. While walking you will see a parking lot, “Luna Rossa”; nearby you’ll find a pedestrian tunnel. Go through this tunnel, at the end go to the right, you will see a gate to another tunnel. At the end of the second tunnel you will find the elevator.

Waterfall in Amalfi

You need to go by the main road in Amalfi till the Very end. You’ll see someone’s villa and the closed gate. Just turn to the left and take go by the steps up. Across the villa and in the end you will see old ruined watermill, big cave and beautiful waterfall below

Amalfi’s Beacon

For more breathtaking views at Amalfi’s Beacon follow these simple directions.From Amalfi’s bus station keep following along the shore. Upon coming to the end of a road you will see a huge seaport with private yachts and boats. You will see steps up, follow it to the top. Then proceed over Piazziale dei Pronontini to the end…

Path to hotel Capuccino

This is really hard one. You need to go to Piazza Dogi in Amalfi. Then Little bit before Restaurant Masaniello you will see stairs up. Go there and always hold a left part of it. Then you will see beautiful road and nice view.

From Ravello to Atrani

Elevation about 380 m. The easiest and the most popular hiking trail in Atrani. Starts near the square of Maria Maddalena. Then by Via s. Nicola up up and up. You can find this road from our house by following green arrows marked ‘Escape road’ on the walls…

The Lemon Path

Elevation about 136 m. Sentiero dei Limoni is set in one of the most fascinating places of the Amalfi Coast, as local said “kissed by the sun” in a panoramic position on the promontory that divides the beautiful towns of Maiori and Minori.

Path of the Gods

Downhill about 700m. The most famous hiking trail in Amalfi coast. Pretty touristy, but the views are amazing. You need to go to Amalfi first, then take a bus to Agerola. Bus driver will drop you off at Bomerano of Agerola. Then you walk to Nocelle, beautiful village above Positano and then go down. From Positano you can take a ferry or bus back to Amalfi

Places to eat

Mind that almost all good restaurants in Amalfi coast are open from midday to 3pm and then from 7pm to midnight or later. Thus if you decide to have a lucnch at 4pm, you can enjoy only street food or really tourist places.

Le Palme in Atrani

Le Palme is a perfect, friendly restaurant just below the bus stop of Atrani. Every day they have fresh fish and seafood as well as yummy pasta for everyone.

Le Arcate in Atrani

Truly the best pizza in Atrani. They also have an awesome view which affects the price. Romantic spot. Take away pizza cost less as well!

Cuoppo di Amalfi is the best for take away. From the rear steps of St. Andrew’s Cathedral, cross the road and go into small alley between houses. You will find this place little bit before Piazza Dodgi.

Modest place with homemade pasta and friendly and funny staff. Meats, from own butcher shop next door, and local wines ease it all down gently.

Not only Amalfi


To get here from Atrani you need to take a bus. It’s on a bridge above the town. You can purchase bus tickets in shops with a “T” outside or any postcard shop.


A quaint, small town only 2 miles from Atrani. You can get here by ferry, bus, or just hike from Ravello. It’s not a hard hike, I promise!

  • Sal De Riso – Best, one of a kind pastry shop on the Amalfi coast
  • Villa Romana – Near previous place. Old Roman Villa. A lot of ancient artifacts.


A great place to see the sunset! If you have a car, you can find thisplace in any Maps app. Valico di Chiunzi is almost 3000 feet above the sea with gorgeous view of Mt. Vesuvius.
