A little further.
Worth every step.

These two found me through GetYourGuide and turned their proposal photoshoot into one of my biggest adventures of the summer. We had arranged to meet at the start of the Path of the Gods in Agerola, where there is already a lovely viewpoint.

But they are keen hikers. By the time we met, they had explored farther along and found somewhere else. They asked if we could go there instead. I agreed, without quite understanding what I was letting myself in for.

Two kilometres does not sound like much until you add mountain paths, steps, and a camera bag. I do not think of myself as unfit, but they certainly tested that theory. They kept apologising while we walked, talked, and laughed our way there.

The plan had been for me to hide and photograph the proposal unnoticed. Finding their spot on my own was not realistic, so we went together and later recreated the proposal in a few different outfits. These photographs are that shared retelling of the moment.

They had brought several changes of clothes, and we had enough time to choose the looks together. Then golden hour arrived. With those mountains, that view, and the light changing around us, every step suddenly felt like a very good idea.

I came home tired and very happy. It was an adventure with wonderful company, and I hope these photographs will remain a much-loved memory of their proposal in the mountains.
