Just in time
for sunrise.
A change
of plans.
Hinad was staying in Minori when she decided she would rather be in Amalfi for our photoshoot. Everything came together at the last minute. She moved over the evening before, with two boys along for the trip.
I explained where we would meet, and she went to find the spot that same evening. I love that little detail. By morning, we could simply meet in the centre of Amalfi and set off towards Atrani.
A change of plans.
Right place.
Right moment.
This time, I got the timing exactly right. We reached the shore for the sunrise I had been hoping to catch, with the sun coming up behind her and the mountains still holding the softer light.
Her colourful dress, the water, the first light on the buildings: there was so much to work with. These are the mornings when I find it very difficult to put the camera down.
Right place. Right moment.
Nothing planned.
Everything there.
That is what I remember most about this session. It started with a sudden change of plans, and somehow brought us to precisely the right place at precisely the right time.
We carried on by the water as the light changed. For me, this is one of those shoots where the morning itself becomes part of the story.
Nothing planned. Everything there.
A place. A feeling.
A story that’s yours.
Tell me a little about yourself.
I’ll take care of the light, the places, and the quiet moments in between.
