Before the town
wakes up.
Amalfi,
still asleep.
Esmeralda is such a beautiful, unusual name. Our photoshoot turned out to be just as memorable. They agreed to meet early in the morning, which always makes me happy: it is the time I most enjoy photographing Amalfi.
We visited my favourite places, from the Cathedral of Saint Andrew to the empty streets, and caught the first light of dawn. In August that means getting up incredibly early, but I find those colours impossible to resist. The photographs take us along the coast to Atrani, too.
Amalfi, still asleep.
One morning.
102 photographs.
I enjoyed working with them so much that we went a little further than usual. We made exactly 102 photographs. It was a pleasure to keep walking, taking pictures and finding another place for the story to continue.
This was another lovely morning while the town was still asleep. I love being here at that hour. In summer I almost never sleep through the mornings; sometimes I would rather sleep in the afternoon than miss a sunrise like this.
One morning. 102 photographs.
A few more
before we go.
I thought the shoot went wonderfully. They loved the photographs, and I delivered them very quickly. It was one of those meetings that leaves me with the nicest memories.
A few more before we go.
A place. A feeling.
A story that’s yours.
Tell me a little about yourself.
I’ll take care of the light, the places, and the quiet moments in between.
