Nestled between two cliffs lies a picturesque location, just a short distance beyond the square in Atrani. To reach this idyllic spot, simply continue down the road and look for the entrance with a staircase. Be prepared for a descent of approximately 200 steps that lead to the serene beach. Take caution while navigating the steps.
You need to go by the main road in Amalfi till the Very end. You’ll see someone’s villa and the closed gate. Just turn to the left and take go by the steps up. Across the villa and in the end you will see old ruined watermill, big cave and beautiful waterfall below
This location offers the best view ofAmalfi from above. From Atrani go to Amalfi by the road. While walking you will see a parking lot, “Luna Rossa”; nearby you’ll find a pedestrian tunnel. Go through this tunnel, at the end go to the right, you will see a gate to another tunnel. At the end of the second tunnel you will find the elevator.
This is really hard one. You need to go to Piazza Dogi in Amalfi. Then Little bit before Restaurant Masaniello you will see stairs up. Go there and always hold a left part of it. Then you will see beautiful road and nice view.
Elevation about 380 m. The easiest and the most popular hiking trail in Atrani. Starts near the square of Maria Maddalena. Then by Via s. Nicola up up and up. You can find this road from our house by following green arrows marked ‘Escape road’ on the walls…
Elevation about 136 m. Sentiero dei Limoni is set in one of the most fascinating places of the Amalfi Coast, as local said “kissed by the sun” in a panoramic position on the promontory that divides the beautiful towns of Maiori and Minori.
Downhill about 700m. The most famous hiking trail in Amalfi coast. Pretty touristy, but the views are amazing. You need to go to Amalfi first, then take a bus to Agerola. Bus driver will drop you off at Bomerano of Agerola. Then you walk to Nocelle, beautiful village above Positano and then go down. From Positano you can take a ferry or bus back to Amalfi
Please keep in mind that many of the top restaurants along the Amalfi Coast are typically open from noon to 3 PM, then again from 7 PM to midnight or later. If you plan to have lunch at 4 PM, you may want to consider street food options or less crowded tourist establishments.

A’Paranza is a must-visit for food lovers and Instagram enthusiasts! It was included in the Michelin Guide 2020, making it a must-try for all those looking for quality dining experiences. Despite its unassuming appearance, the restaurant is dedicated to elevating every aspect of your dining experience, from the design of the forks to the lemon in the fish sauce. The menu is accompanied by an extensive wine list, but you don’t have to worry about choosing the right pairing—the friendly waiters will help you find the perfect match for your tastes. The restaurant is known for its antipasti and amazing wine selection, but their signature risotto con crema di scampi draws diners from far and wide. Our top tip: stick to seafood, as the restaurant is just 200 meters from the sea, allowing them to serve the freshest catches. You’ll be pleased with the generous portions and selection of local wines. The prices are reasonable, and you won’t want to leave once you’ve tried their delicious dishes. If you’re visiting the charming Italian village, don’t miss this gem of a restaurant.
Le Arcate is a beloved local spot for those who want to have best seats in town. In 2024 Le Arcate open as a restaurant and this year they not serve pizza. Managed by a close-knit family, you’ll always find a member of the family in the kitchen or dining room, dedicated to providing excellent service. Notable figures like Edward Norton and Richard Gere are regular diners, drawn by the unique sea view.
Arcate remains true to tradition, as evidenced by their menu that has remained unchanged since 1965. After a delicious fish dinner, we once had the chance to meet the chef and express our appreciation. When asked about the secret to the dish, the chef simply replied, “There is no secret. I just salt and pepper the fish. I don’t make it worse or better, I make it the way it should be, and that is the hallmark of quality.” Simply put, everything at Arcate is just right.
