Saturday's weather forecast for the Amalfi Coast looks gorgeous, and we already know where we're heading: Tramonti, for the Carnival Party.
The town of Tramonti, together with the local Forum dei Giovani and the Amici del Carnevale group, is throwing a proper carnival celebration this Saturday, February 21st, starting at 3:30 PM in Piazza Nassiriya in the Polvica district.
What to expect
Music and group dances from Jumanji Official Events. Face painting for kids by Martina Amatruda. Sweet and savory snacks. And at the end of the party, a prize for the best costume.
It's free, it's outdoors, and it's for all ages.
We'll definitely be there
The forecast for Saturday looks perfect. When February gives you a day like that on the Amalfi Coast, you don't waste it indoors. Tramonti sits up in the hills behind Maiori and Minori, surrounded by lemon groves and chestnut forests. The drive alone is worth it.
Plus, Tramonti's carnival has that small-town feel where everyone actually knows each other, kids run around in homemade costumes, and the food is made by people who take it personally if you don't have seconds.
Getting there
Tramonti is about 20 minutes by car from Maiori or Amalfi. Piazza Nassiriya is in Polvica, one of Tramonti's thirteen hamlets. If you're coming from the coast road, follow signs for Tramonti and then Polvica. Parking is usually available near the piazza.
