Campania's Civil Protection just issued a Yellow Alert for sudden, intense thunderstorms hitting the region from 12:00 PM Wednesday, February 4 through 12:00 PM Thursday, February 5. And yes, that includes the entire Amalfi Coast.

We're talking the full storm package: lightning that'll light up the whole coastline, possible hail, and wind gusts that could rearrange your beach umbrella (and maybe your patio furniture too). The storms might be short-lived, but they're packing a punch.

What This Means for You

The forecast has some uncertainty—these thunderstorms love to do their own thing at the local level. Here's what to watch for:

  • Flash flooding in low-lying areas and along coastal roads
