Starting March 15, Grassi Junior is back with daily ferry service along the Amalfi Coast — and this year they've added some routes people have been asking about for a while.
What's New for 2026
Two direct lines stand out:
- Positano → Salerno departing at 10:00. You're there in 50 minutes flat. No stops, no shuffling between buses. Just water.
- Salerno → Capri leaving Molo Masuccio/Concordia at 10:58, with a return from Capri at 18:20. A full day on the island without the headache of piecing together connections.
Both routes run daily from March 15.
Day Tours Are Back Too
If you want to see more in less time, Grassi Junior runs combo day tours: Amalfi & Positano and Positano & Capri. One ticket, two stops, one day. Prices tend to be better than booking legs separately.
Half-Price for Residents and Commuters
This one matters if you live or work here. Residents and commuters get 50% off regular fares. You'll need a "PENDOLARE" card — send your local work contract to info@grassiboatpositano.com and they'll sort it out.
Group discounts and agency rates are also available through the partner area on their website.
Private Boats From April 1
Come April, the private boat fleet opens up. Charter a boat for the day (with or without a skipper), book a sunset cruise, or use the water taxi service connecting the entire coast, Salerno, Capri, and Sorrento. The full 2026 catalog is already online.
New Ticket Office in Maiori
There's now a ticket booth right on the pier in Maiori, close to the boarding area.
The Schedule
Ferries run from 8:40 in the morning (first departure from Positano) until 21:30 at night. That's a wide window — useful whether you're catching a morning connection to Salerno or heading back from Capri after dinner.
Grassi Junior operates year-round, including winter months, which makes them one of the more reliable options on this stretch of coast. Book online or grab tickets at any of their pier offices along the coast.
